Raising the Curtain

DONATE NOW

In 2003, the Playhouse introduced a new program designed to provide stable, long-term operational funding for the Company, while increasing our patrons’ connection to the Playhouse and the work we do on the stage and in the community.

The Raising the Curtain Program is made up of donors who have made a multi-year commitment to the Playhouse, and who are working with us to ensure the future of the Company and of theatre in Vancouver.

The program culminates in a free one hour event, where guests learn more about the Playhouse and its importance to the community through guest speakers, performance pieces and displays.  The latest 2010 Raising the Curtain Fundraising Breakfast hosted at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre on November 2, 2010 and was a great success.

Over 250 individuals and companies have joined the program, raising more than $500,000 in donations and pledges for the Playhouse through 2015. The Playhouse is deeply grateful for their support and commitment to our company.
